My session with the Roberts Family was so much fun! Things are always an adventure when little ones are involved, and this session was no exception. Sophia and Oliver were so excited to jump out of the car and explore the bluebonnet field. They brought along their tee-ball set for a little bit of added fun and loved showing me how hard they could hit the ball. From the very beginning I could tell that these two love playing and they kept me laughing throughout our session. Another thing that was very evident is that they love their mommy and daddy. One of my favorite parts about photographing families is getting to capture sweet, candid moments of kiddos interacting with their parents. I never have to pose those moments. You can't pose a little girl kissing her dad on the cheek with her little hand on his face or a little boy giggling in his mom's lap. These photos captured so much love and joy in those in-between moments. As a mom, those moments are what I live for.
Brittany, you are such a great mom! I know moms can often go unnoticed or unappreciated simply because life gets crazy, but with Mother's Day right around the corner I wanted to remind you that you're doing a great job. Even though we've just met, I can tell. Your kids are so sweet and kind. Those traits are learned. They may not recognize it now, but one day they'll realize all that you've done for them and sacrificed for them. They'll see how much you love them and how much they've grown because of you. So until they can articulate it themselves, I want to say thank you. Thank you for doing one of the hardest jobs in the world and being such a great mom! Thank you for the countless hours you spend nurturing those kids. Thank you for all that you do that no one sees. Thank you for being a mom.
